Amos Arbogast Announces Youth Girls Basketball Camp Dates

EUREKA, Ill. – Second-year Eureka College women's basketball head coach Amos Arbogast has announced the dates for three youth girls basketball summer camps at the Reagan Athletic Complex. The Youth Basketball Camp for girls entering grades one through five and the Individual Skills Basketball Camp for girls entering grades six through eight is set for July 9 through July 12 and the Girls Basketball Elite Camp for girls entering grades nine through 12 is scheduled for Aug. 4.

The focus of both July camps will be on learning fundamental basketball skills in an exciting and fun way. Eureka College coaches and players will be there to engage campers and create a fun environment to learn skills such as ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense and more.

The Youth Girls Camp (July 9-12) is for girls entering grades one through five. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The cost of the camp is $60 and includes a camp t-shirt and certificate of participation. The gym will be open at 8 a.m. for supervised free shooting prior to camp.

The Girls Individual Skills Camp (July 9-12) is for girls entering grades six through eight. The camp will run from noon until 3 p.m. This camp will have a greater focus on individual skill development and competition. The cost of the camp is $80 and includes a camp t-shirt and certificate of participation. The gym will be open at 11:30 a.m. for supervised free shooting prior to camp.

The Girls Elite Camp (Aug. 4) is for girls entering grades nine through 12. The camp will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Campers will participate in college-level drills and skill training with hands-on instruction from Eureka College coaches and players. This camp will focus on high level skill development and include a camp scrimmage. Cost is $30 and includes a camp t-shirt. The gym will be open at 12:30 p.m. for supervised free shooting prior to camp.
