Camden selected All-SLIAC First Team

FULTON, Mo. – Eureka College women's basketball senior guard Emily Camden (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central) has been selected to the All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team, according to an announcement made by SLIAC commissioner Angie Morenz Friday night at the SLIAC Tournament in Fulton, Mo.
 
Camden, who also earned All-SLIAC Second Team as a junior last season, became Eureka College's all-time leader in three-point field goals made (210) and 16th women's basketball player to surpass 1,000 career points. She averaged 14.3 points over the regular season, fourth-highest in the SLIAC, hauled in 94 rebounds, dished 50 assists, and collected a team-high 19 blocks. Additionally, Camden led all SLIAC shooters with 65 three-point field goals made. Nationally, Camden ranked 26th in three-point field goals made, 27th in three-point field goals attempted (198), and 35th in three-point field goals per game (2.6). Camden was chosen as the SLIAC Player of the Week for Feb. 15.
 
Camden's First Team selection marks the fifth year in a row a EC women's basketball player has ended the season with First Team honors.
 
In addition to Camden's all-conference selection, EC sophomore Kerrigan Dura (Brimfield, Ill./Brimfield) was the Red Devils' representative on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Dura appeared and started in all 25 regular season contests, compiling 134 points, 132 rebounds, 92 assists and 45 steals. Dura's 2.24 assist-to-turnover ratio was highest in the conference and 22nd nationally.
 
Rachel Williams, a senior from Iowa Wesleyan, was named SLIAC Player of the Year. MacMurray freshman Brianna Markusic received SLIAC Newcomer of the Year, and Westminster head coach Tracy Barden was the SLIAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Blue Jays to a regular season SLIAC championship.

Eureka finished the regular season last Saturday with a 11-14 overall record and a 10-8 mark to earn fourth place in the final SLIAC standings and qualify for the SLIAC Tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
