ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Eureka College sophomore shortstop Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.), junior utility player Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) and junior outfielder Krysten Wallace (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone H.S.) have been named to the All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team, according to a Friday announcement from SLIAC Commissioner Angie Morenz at the league tournament in St. Charles, Mo.

PEORIA, Ill. -- Eureka College sophomore shortstop Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) went 7-for-7 with three doubles and a walk over the course of Monday's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader with Spalding, but the Golden Eagles took both games from the Red Devils at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria, Ill. SU won the opener, 7-6, and came from behind to win the nightcap, 4-3.

The Panthers held off a late EC rally to win game one, 4-1, before pulling away to beat the Red Devils 12-4 in game two.

EUREKA, Ill. -- The Eureka College softball team earned its first victory over St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Fontbonne since 2008 with a 4-1 win in game one, then overcame a five-run deficit by scoring six times in the final three innings for a wild 6-5 walk-off win in the nightcap, Saturday afternoon.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Eureka College sophomore shortstop Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) had three hits in game one and four different players had multi-RBI games in the nightcap, pushing the Red Devils to a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep of MacMurray, Wednesday afternoon in Jacksonville, Ill. EC won the opener 12-1 and followed with a 10-1 win in game two.

Softball Notebook: Regular Season Enters Final Two Weeks

EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka College softball team will begin a stretch of 12 games in the final 11 days of the regular season on Wednesday, playing a pair of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents and taking a non-conference road trip to Harris-Stowe on Thursday in St. Louis.

Eureka Sweeps Blackburn on Senior Day

EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College senior third baseman Bridget Bankes (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) ripped her sixth career home run to highlight the Red Devils’ 11-hit attack in game one and junior second baseman Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) drove in four runs as part of a 3-for-3 performance in the nightcap, sending EC to a Senior Day sweep of Blackburn on Saturday. Eureka won the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener, 12-2 in five innings, and also won game two in five innings, 9-1.

EUREKA, Ill. -- Eureka College junior pitcher Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) smashed her second career home run and pitched a complete-game one-hitter in the circle, lifting the Red Devils to an 8-0 victory over NAIA Harris-Stowe in the opener of Tuesday's doubleheader. EC scored a single run in the first inning of game two to win the nightcap, 1-0.

EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Eureka College freshman pitcher Erin Smith (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap H.S.) threw her third complete-game shutout of the season and freshman designated player Morgan Osborn (Washington, Ill./Washington H.S.) went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI, driving the Red Devils to a 4-0 win in the nightcap of Friday’s St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader with Iowa Wesleyan, Friday afternoon in East Peoria, Ill. The Tigers came from behind to win game one, 2-1.

Notebook: Red Devils Face Wet Weather, Busy Weekend Slate

EUREKA, Ill. – Following a seven-day stretch that has seen a pair of doubleheader postponements and more than an inch of rainfall, the Eureka College softball team is scheduled to play six St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games in approximately 48 hours beginning Friday afternoon. The Red Devils will host Iowa Wesleyan in a doubleheader Friday at noon, followed by doubleheaders Saturday at noon at Westminster and Sunday at noon at Webster.

Eureka Secures SLIAC Sweep at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. – The Eureka College softball team rallied for a 4-3 win in game one and later rolled to a 21-0 victory in five innings in game two to earn a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep of Principia, Saturday afternoon in Elsah, Ill. The wins gave EC a 2-0 start to league play for the third consecutive season.
