Senior Spotlight: Savanna Tapper

Eureka College sports information director Alex Hess caught up with senior Savanna Tapper of the softball team for the twelfth release of the 2015-16 weekly Senior Spotlight series that will have new seniors interviewed on selected Wednesdays.

Q. What is your greatest athletic memory at Eureka College?

My greatest memory at Eureka College was my freshman year when we only had 10 players and were picked near the bottom for conference and we ended up making it to the conference tournament and proved everyone wrong.

Q. Describe yourself in one sentence?

I am a confident yet quiet individual who leads by example.

Q. Aside from playing (sport), what are some of your other passions?

Besides playing softball, I like to spend time with my family/friends, spend time outdoors, and love to exercise. I also love helping my niece, who is 9, become a better softball player than she already is.

Q. What do you plan on doing after graduation from Eureka College with your (degree)?

After graduation I plan on using my Criminal Justice degree to work with juveniles and eventually pursue a Master's degree.

Q. What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman?

My advice to incoming freshman is to enjoy the four years you have at Eureka College.  The time goes by fast so make as many memories as you can and enjoy every moment.
