Bio

Ben Slade joined the Eureka coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2023 season. Ben has played professionally in Sweden and England for the past 5 seasons, making over 220 senior apps throughout Europe. Currently a free agent, Slade has spent time at 3 different clubs, gaining 2 promotions so far. Most recently, Ben played for IF Älgarna during the 2023 season of the Swedish 2nd division. 

Prior to signing with IF Älgarna, Ben played for Sund IF for two seasons, helping them earn promotion to division 2 in 2021 and captaining the team in 2022. Slade made the move to Sund IF after helping Stöde IF earn promotion from the 3rd division to the 2nd division. He was at Stöde IF for three seasons, helping them gain promotion in 2019. Slade made the move to Stöde IF following a stint with his hometown club, Hythe & Dibden FC near Southampton, England.

Slade doubles as a self-employed hyperrealism artist. He has sold artwork throughout Europe as well as in Australia and the US.
