CARLINVILLE, Ill. – Blackburn College's Sam Lomanto netted the game winner on a header in the 64th minute, lifting the Beavers to a 1-0 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Eureka, Thursday afternoon in Carlinville, Ill.
Sophomore Brady Thomas (Mt. Pulaski, Ill./Mt. Pulaski [Lincoln Christian]) tallied the only shot on goal for the visitors, while sophomore goal keeper Daniel Johnson (Eureka, Ill./Eureka) logged two saves.
Eureka will return to action this Saturday with another road conference road contest at Greenville College in Greenville, Ill. First kick against the Panthers is set for 1 p.m.
