EC Men’s Basketball Coaches Recognized for Earning PDS Certification

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – This month, EC head men's basketball coach Chip Wilde and assistant coach Ryan Mulcrone were among the coaches recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for earning Professional Development Series certification at the 2019 NABC Convention in Minneapolis.

The PDS Clinic series is a comprehensive continuing education program for basketball coaches of all levels. The focus of the program is to develop well-rounded coaches on a professional and personal level.

PDS Clinics are broken down into three categories: coaching development, personal development and ethics. In order to become NABC PDS-certified, coaches must have attended at least two coaching development clinics, two personal development clinics and one ethics seminar during the NABC Convention.

"Continuing education and skill development are vital for every coach at every level of the game," said NABC Executive Director Jim Haney. "We commend these coaches for their commitment to bettering themselves on and off the court."
