KANSAS CITY, Mo. – This month, EC head men’s basketball coach Chip Wilde and assistant coach Ryan Mulcrone were among the coaches recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for earning Professional Development Series certification at the 2019 NABC Convention in Minneapolis.

The only team from Eureka College to ever win the gold is celebrating its silver anniversary Friday. Hall of Fame head coach Dave Darnall and his 1993-94 Red Devils won the NAIA Division II men's basketball national title on this date 25 years ago -- March 15, 1994.

No. 1 Nebraska Wesleyan Ends Red Devils' Tourney Run, 101-75

LINCOLN, Neb.-- In front of a rowdy, sell-out crowd at NWU’s Snyder Arena, the top-ranked Prairie Dogs (27-1) ended the Eureka College men’s historic tourney run with an emphatic 101-75 win over the Red Devils Friday night. After winning seven of their last nine games and capturing their SLIAC tourney title to get to this point, the Red Devils (13-14) finally met their match in their Division III NCAA Tournament debut.

EUREKA — On Friday, Eureka (13-14) will make its NCAA Division III Tournament debut against No. 1 Nebraska Wesleyan (26-1) in the program’s first March game since that magical championship season. The Red Devils will tip off against the defending national champions on their own home court at 7:30 p.m.

EUREKA – On Monday, in a room full of its biggest supporters, the Eureka College men’s basketball team learned which team it will face in its long-awaited first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance. The Red Devils (13-14) will take on Nebraska Wesleyan (26-1) in first-round action Friday at 7:30 p.m. inside Nebraska Wesleyan’s Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

Eureka Takes Down Webster, Clinches First SLIAC Championship in Program History, 70-69

WEBSTER GROVES – The Eureka men’s 13-year wait is finally over. The Red Devils captured their first-ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship on Saturday night with a 70-69 victory over top-seeded Webster on its own court. And now, they’re headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

It was more of a slow build, with each passing day and experience stacking up on top of each other until the Red Devils knew what they were made of – and what they were capable of achieving.

Red Devils Keep Their Cool, Advance to SLIAC Tourney Championship With 163-146 Win Over Greenville

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – With the season on the line, Greenville turned up the heat, but the Red Devils kept their cool. For the second time in 11 days, the Red Devils survived a grueling scoring marathon against Greenville on Friday night at Grant Gymnasium and walked away with a 163-146 victory. And now, they’re headed to the SLIAC championship game for the first time since 2013.
