Loyola Downs Red Devils in Exhibition Action

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Eureka College men's basketball team played its final exhibition game in preparation for the start of the regular season on Sunday, dropping a 96-69 decision at NCAA Division I Loyola (Ill.) in Chicago, Ill. Junior guard Shea Feehan (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame H.S.) poured in a game-high 17 points to lead a group of three Red Devils to score in double figures.

Feehan was followed by Jordan Dehm (Metamora, Ill./Metamora H.S.) with 11 points and Hank Thomas (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods H.S.) with 10. Feehan, Dehm and Brady Sanders (Minonk, Ill./Fieldcrest H.S./Illinois Wesleyan) shared the team lead with five rebounds apiece and Ryan McElmurry (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg H.S./Black Hawk) shared game-high honors with five assists. Eureka knocked down 12 3-pointers and was credited with an assist on 16 of 26 field goals.

Aundre Jackson, Marques Townes and Ben Richardson scored 14 points each to pace the hosts. Jackson hauled down nine of the Ramblers' 47 rebounds.

With its two exhibition games against Division I opposition complete, Eureka will turn its attention to the 2017-18 regular-season opener this Wednesday against USCAA Robert Morris-Peoria. Tip-off at the Reagan Athletic Complex against the Eagles is scheduled for 7 p.m.
