2017 Chip Wilde Summer Basketball Camp Dates Set

EUREKA, Ill. – Tenth-year Eureka College men's basketball head coach Chip Wilde will host three different youth basketball camps this summer inside the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center. Wilde will host a Father-Child Clinic on June 17, a Boys & Girls Day Camp from July 24 through July 27 and an Advanced Skills Camp on July 31.

The Father-Child Clinic is open to all boys and girls entering first through sixth grades and will start with registration at 9:15 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, June 17. The camp day will run from 9:30 a.m. until noon. There will be a father/child game starting at 11:30 a.m. followed by an awards ceremony. Campers will need gym shoes, shorts and a t-shirt to participate in camp. The cost of the camp is $35 for father and child and $5 for an additional child. A $10 off early bird special is available if signed up before June 1.

The fee includes two hours of instruction, a t-shirt, a basketball, a certificate and the father/child game. To sign up for the camp, please send a registration form and payment to the Eureka College men's basketball office. Campers may also register at the door during the first day of camp. Payment must be received at the start of camp to participate.

The Boys & Girls Day Camp will start with registration at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, July 24 and is open to all boys and girls entering first through eighth grades. The camp day will run from 9 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. Lunch will be provided on these days. The gym will be open at 8 a.m. for those who need to be dropped off before 9 a.m. On Thursday there will be an awards ceremony at 5 p.m. to conclude camp. Campers will need gym shoes, shorts and a t-shirt to participate in camp. The cost of the camp is $115 per camper. A $15 off early bird special is also available if a camper is signed up before July 1. A "team" discount is available for $95 per camper if five or more players register together.

The Advanced Skills camp will be hosted by Wilde on Monday, July 31 and is open to all boys entering ninth through 12th grades. The camp cost is $20 and will include a t-shirt, 150 minutes of instruction from college coaches and players and a 40-minute scrimmage using college rules and regulations.

Coach Chip Wilde's Summer Basketball Camps at Eureka College will be focusing on rules, regulations, strategies, teamwork and developing positive attitudes. Wilde will cover the fundamentals of basketball, as well as advanced skills through lectures, drills, contests and games. There will be a strong emphasis on learning and having fun.
