Eureka College sports information director Alex Hess caught up with senior Michael Sain of the men's basketball team for the sixth release of the 2015-16 weekly Senior Spotlight series that will have new seniors interviewed every Wednesday.

Q. What is your greatest athletic memory at Eureka College?

As a freshman and again as a senior, we had the opportunity to take a foreign trip to play exhibition games in Canada.  On the first trip, we played in Windsor. The second trip was to Toronto.  It was such an incredible and unique experience.  Our entire basketball program looks forward to and enjoys the trip. It is an opportunity I will always remember!

I am someone who is willing to help anyone at anytime!

Q. Aside from playing (sport), what are some of your other passions?

I have so many people in my life that support me.  I always want to make sure they know how much I appreciate it.  Spending time with all of those people is very important to me!

Q. What do you plan on doing after graduation from Eureka College with your (degree)?

I am so thankful to have had amazing internship opportunities during my time here at Eureka College.  I am planning to continue on with these experiences and begin a career in professional sports.  It is a huge goal of mine and I am excited to pursue the potential opportunity.

Q. What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman?

In college you are going to meet people, learn things, and have experiences that will positively impact your life.  It is an opportunity to grow into the person that you want to be.  College requires a lot of dedication and hard work. The benefits you get from that will help you have a successful career in whatever you choose to do.
