Peoria Chiefs to Honor EC Football, Men’s Basketball May 2

PEORIA, Ill. — Mark your calendars, Red Devil fans. On May 2, the Peoria Chiefs are planning to recognize Eureka's 2018 football team and 2018-2019 men’s basketball team for capturing conference championships this year at their home game at Dozer Park.
Sam Durley Named Eureka College Strength and Wellness Coordinator

EUREKA — One of Eureka College’s most accomplished athletes of the past decade will soon be joining the EC athletic department in a full-time capacity. Sam Durley has been named the Red Devils’ Strength and Wellness Coordinator, EC announced Thursday.
Eureka Earns Votes in Season-Ending AFCA Top 25 Poll

WACO, Texas – For the third time in 2018, Eureka has received votes in the American Football Coaches Association Division III Coaches’ Poll. The Red Devils received three votes in the season-ending 2018 poll, the second consecutive season in which the Red Devils appeared on at least one ballot in the final AFCA poll.

Reasnover is a repeat AFCA honoree after earning Second Team honors as a junior in 2017.

WHITEWATER, Wis. – One of the most successful seasons in Eureka College football history came to a close Saturday in the Red Devils’ 67-14 defeat to #4/#5 Wisconsin-Whitewater in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. Drew Barth (Minonk, Ill./Fieldcrest H.S.) threw a pair of second-half touchdown passes to Caleb Fauver (Catlin, Ill./Salt Fork H.S.) in the defeat.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Eureka College senior running back Le’Anthony Reasnover (Momence, Ill./Momence H.S.) has been voted Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Year and 10th-year head coach Kurt Barth has been named NACC Coach of the Year, according to a Friday announcement from the league office. Reasnover is one of 15 Red Devils to receive All-NACC accolades, including six First Team selections.

EUREKA – Renowned vocalist Jim Cornelison will sing the Star Spangled Banner prior to the Eureka College football game on Saturday, Nov. 10 at McKinzie Field. Cornelison, who has served as the national anthem singer of the Chicago Blackhawks since 2008, will perform as part of Eureka’s Veterans Day recognition during the Red Devils’ regular-season finale against Rockford at 1 p.m.
