Bio

Noah Suarez was named the Eureka College baseball head coach on December 13, 2023.

A native of Newton Falls, Ohio, Suarez joined the Red Devils after serving as head coach at Philander Smith University in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was able to relaunch the program after a 45-year hiatus. Hired in September of 2022, Suarez signed 21 players in just 14 days to ensure a season the following spring. His team proceeded to win 14 games and finish third place in the NAIA’s Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

Under the guidance of Suarez, the Panthers were able to set new school records for most home runs in a single game (three), most no-hitters in a season (two), and most stolen bases in a single game (18). Philander Smith featured two All-GCAC honorees and the conference’s Freshman of the Year, among other honors.

Prior to coaching at Philander Smith, Suarez served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Salem University. There, he served as the Tigers’ infield, hitting, and base running coach, and the team saw significant improvements in all three areas.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Suarez has also served as a coach and general manager of a club in a collegiate baseball league in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the past four years.

As a player at Salem University, Suarez was an everyday starter as an outfielder and second baseman. He finished his career with a school-record 80 stolen bases and helped Salem win a school-record 26 games in 2018. Before that, Suarez started his collegiate baseball career at Mercyhurst Northeast University in Northeast, Pennsylvania, where he set a single-season program record for walks in a season with 38.

Suarez graduated from Salem University in Salem, West Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2020 and received his master’s degree in sports and recreation management the following year.
