EC baseball drops a pair to SLIAC opponent Iowa Wesleyan

EUREKA, Ill. – Freshman Max Marcoux (Jennings County, Ind./Jennings County) collected a pair of hits and sophomore Ray Vogel (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone) roped an RBI double in game one, but the Iowa Wesleyan Tigers used a balanced offensive attack to take down the Red Devils in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests, Tuesday afternoon at Henry Sand Field. The Tigers continued to impress offensively in game two for the double header sweep.

Senior Nick Passini (Dalzell, Ill./St. Bede Academy [Illinois Valley]) tallied three hits and one run scored in the night cap, while sophomore Trevor Zeibert (Monee, Ill./Peotone) and freshman Jake Miller (Washington, Ill./Washington) added a pair of hits each.

The Red Devils will step away from league action on Thursday to take on Robert Morris-Peoria. First pitch of the single tilt is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Henry Sand Field.
